oily breather

on the weekend past i stripped all the intake and turbo stuff down and cleaned it all. during the task i broke the standard dv and have replaced it with a baileys one. i also snapped the breather closest to the intake off and have replaced it with a filter breather.

my question is that the 2 circled bits (front breather and ignition lead/plug) have loads of oil constantly trying to escape form them - does this mean i need a new rocker gasket to stop this oil wanting to creep out?

the bits in square are just to mention they are blocked before someone suggests i should block them lol

thanks in advance

Following on from this thread i went out and purchased a rocker gasket set with new plug seals.

you can see the effect oil has on the ht leads in this image:

half using 'ChrisGT & dan_ep82's wiki on rmoeving the rocker cover ( http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showwiki.php?title=How+to+remove+and+paint+your+rocker+cover ) i popped the rocker off and investigated each plug seal:

using a big flat head screwdriver i ored each plug out of its slot and cleaned up the wells:

with each old one out and each new one in place proceed to tap gently in a circular motion on each one until sitting nicely in the socket (as shown in the 3rd plug):

before refitting a quick respray and some detailing:

new gasket on
rocker nuts torque'd to 7Nm
and new breather fitted

set of leads and spray up rest of engine bay bits, will look pretty good :)

dont put a breather on the right port in picture, thats either for PCV valve or a pipe to a catch can.

it will get covered in oil in a matter or seconds when driving.
