depends what you want and what you deem as better?

thicker will give you a lower compression ratio which means you can run a more boost safely, thinner will keep the cr the same or raise it a little which will give you more response off boost but will limit you as to what boost you can put through the engine.

Stock gasket is fine on a hybrid turbo normal. Personaly on a hybrid the only way to get some extra performance would be thinner because you probably can't run anymore boost anyways.
