If I simply replace the stock intercooler (not relocate it to the front), with a larger one (eg. an RX7 one), am I gonna see any difference?
because in my country modiffied car its not allowed from police...

you could replace the stock intercooler with an ARC model or some people use the RX7 cooler. These will be less obvious than a front mounted version and will see a reduction in intake temps.

Do you mean will you need to change anything else? If RX7 you need a different silicone pipe to connect to turbo, throttle body coupler (stock) will be fine and the ARC is a direct fit. If you meant will it make a difference then yeah, the ARC more so than the RX7 as they dissipate radiant heat better. Good info Dylan..

an intercooler alone wilk simply cool the air more efficiently. This will allow you turn up the boost more safely.

Good Pics Ian. I think he means which is better ARC or RX7. ARC is better but it's expensive, new they are near £600.00, second hand around £300.00. RX7 around £50.00 - £60.00

The RX7 looks more like a stock one as it's black but you could just paint the ARC one! Just don't block the fins with paint!!

both of those coolers are better than the stock item. the ARC is a direct fit whereas the RX7 needs slightly different pipework

yeah, at first i thought he meant which looked the most 'factory fitted' as he mentioned mods are illegal. after i posted more was added to the thread so to avoid confusion i've removed the pics again.

both are a worthwhile upgrade over the standard item, the ARC is the better unit but it is very expensive for what it is.

the intercooler in the link you have given is not for a starlet and will be hard to fit and not all that good. you need the one designed for the starlet.
