one disc hotter than the other?

yet another problem with my new calipers. ever since ive had them on the car one side seems to get hotter than the other. not a stupid amount hotter but its quite noticeable.

they are both free as a bird as they have been rebuilt recently. i have the same pads and discs both sides, both sides are greased equally. just not sure what it could be?

anyone got any ideas? is it normal? im not sure of the exact temperature differences. if i could find my thermometer i would measure it.

i had this problem with an integra , after a simple bleed they seemed to be perfect , one caliper was touching a little quicker than the other .

they have been bled so many times its not even funny. ill give it another go but im not sure if its going to do much as its been done so many times now.

just measured them after a quick drive. there was a a difference of approxiamately 30 degrees. is this ok, too much? the rears have a difference of about 4 degrees.

prob the amount the piston in the caliper is screwed out, the warmer one is prob screwed out more(closer to the disc from the word go, before u do any breaking)

the rears arent the problem. its the fronts. 4 degrees is neither here nor there so im not worried about that.

the 30 degree difference on the front bothers me

if the pistons on one side arent sliding as freely as the other one side will work more. does the car pull to one side if you brake with your hands off the steering wheel?

nope. tried that one. my dad tried it also. did some hardcore braking. i have abs but one side locked a bit for a second and it was the side that doesnt get as hot?

i have fitted all new genuine toyota seals and they felt pretty much the same to push in to be honest, hard to tell.

these calipers are more hassle than they are worth. ive also got a slightly leaky bleed nipple, so need to swap that for an old one. biggred really are a shit company :(

seem to have a fair few brake issues dude :( hope you get em sorted!

i know. thats what happens if you get someone to do the job for you. could have got a set of these calipers dirt cheap and done the job myself for half the price.

changed both bleed nipples for genuine toyota ones now. will see what happens.

i do like everything to be 100% spot on though, especially when it comes to things like brakes and suspension

i am finding it seems to slowly be getting better. after doing a bit of research it seems like new discs and pads can be at different temperatures whn bedding in.

you may also need to bleed your brakes again mate as if air is on one side the braking force wont be as good.

also worth checking calipers are sliding correctly. if one is slightly more seized than the other this can also cause one to work better than the other.

Which i would have thought was correct, the other side has to do more work and has more friction.
