I sort of bought this today!
I'm not expecting a huge amount of good replies, but there are more people on here than on other forums who do appreciate other cars! Even if they are french. (maybe not hondas :haha
For those that don't know, its a Renaultsport Clio 182 Trophy. It was a limited edition run at the end of the 182's life of 500 cars featuring SACHS racing spec dampers, recaro seats, speedline turini's and lots of weight shed over the standard 182.
Its performance is fairly good, its about on par 0-60 with a Ct9 @ 1 bar renault quote the trophy as 6.7 seconds so its about right, and I'd say slightly faster than a starlet from 4th gear onwards because of the displacement from 2.0 vs 1.3. A hybrid would beat it in a straight line let alone a td04, but I didnt buy it to be a straight line hero.
As for handling, well I have never been in another car that handles so well, especially a FWD hatchback, saying that it should go well seeing as the SACHS dampers are way over £1.2k each! It just goes round any corners and any speed, loving it so far!
As for the Glanza, I decided a few weeks ago that I just couldnt afford to continue with the 'modding' bug so to speak, it was costing me way too much money.. completely not the cars fault, but because I had no self control over buying un-needed parts!!.
This time I've bought a car that needs little doing to it as standard, so hopefully I wont waste all my years wage on mods!
The glanza will be listed up for sale in a few days and will be available to buy in a few weeks when my plate is transferred.. I refuse to strip it so 90% of the mods are still on, its running so well so its a shame imo to strip it of its glory!
Some more pics of the clio, with a few mates hope you like them.
