Here this might help. Its one of my basic how-to's for the Valve covers i do. I paint and sell them locally for a hobby :)

my best advice for doing good work on these is to find a couple cheap ones at a scap/junk yard and try out new things on them

best to clean the surface very well. i use acetone after cleaning/sanding the surface. then a good couple coats of primer. then base coat. i spray 3-4 coats waiting 5 mins inbetween sprays, making sure to do light coats. then the last coat i put on rather thick...enough to cover well, but not so much to run. then 1-2 coats of clear and let dry.

bloody hell, what paint did you use?

for the most part, paint is paint. For valve covers i usually try and use a paint that is rated for some type of heat range. Rustoleum Rattle cans usually have great results and are very cheap. but ive gotten into everything from spray paint to color coded manufacturer spec touch up paint that i spray through a spray gun.

top quality stuff mate they were shit hot!! could you sort my rocker cover? how much do you charge?????

Im here in the states, so shipping would be really expensive im sure. Its honestly not hard to start, especially basic solid colors. Materials cost ~$27. I also am not a "dealer" on here so i cant solicite business on this forum lol

Sounds like a plan I might give it a go. Mines just plain Black with the Yellow Toyota logo at the moment, I rushed it though so its Orange peeled!

I don't have TMIC, my car is NA! Just a replica of the Glanza

ace works dude. can you please share some of the masking ideas for effects with us?

i use pinstripers tape which is very thin and blue scotch painters tape. the Pinstripe tape is the most useful for detailed work. Then i use alot of string for my straight angles to guide the tape.
