lol yeah im trying to sort out mesh to protect it from stones at the moment, the reason for an intercooler mounted at the front is to allow more effective cooling

Is there any need to have a front mounted intercooler at the front?
Am I reading that properly?
If a car crashed into the front of my car idd be more worried about my car/chassis than an intercooler.
