First Car was really a MKII Golf, but I never really think of it as mine:

Fun starts with my first (second) car:
I'd wanted the Daihatsu Charade GTti since I was 15 and finding an example like this is something that you will only see a few times in your life!

Only to be horrified when some idiot crossed into my lane and into the front of my car!

Third (106 1.3i Rallye):
A lovely little car plagued by the fact it was built in france. Conced out most of the time, but this little thing came alive at 5500RPM and loved being pushed to 7500RPM. (Well thats the only way you could drive one fast!)

Fourth Daihatsu Sportrak 1.6 EL (With weber carb):
I had to get rid of the pug, dispite its cute little looks and lovely sound it just done my head in. I didn't know where to start with fixing it, well I do - replace entire electrical system :p ... So I got something even worse. The oil is because it burnt so much, but this was so much fun in the summer - everyone loved it - offroading is great fun!!! Got stuck many a time, and ended up in ALL sorts of places :p

nice rallye Luke ;) i had one in red and it was a very fun car! had an induction kit on mine and it sounded like it was running throttle bodies! mainly due to the one - off inlet manifold for the 1.3 only.

Bit wierd how we had all the same cars lol :S (bar the sportrak :p )

First two aren't actual pictures

(Back in 2001) 1st car 1998 Opel combo. 1.7D Cheep insurance Quick, handled like a brick but was by far the cheapest car i got, Bought it for 200 euro with the head gasket gone Spent 175 euro fixing it sold it 4 years later for 3000euro Cha Ching. Oh and a double matress fitted perfectly in the back :p

(2005)

1994 1.2 8v Black Opel corsa B. Bought it for 2500 euro Kept it for about a year, Was going to "Do it up" when one of the lads in work said to me " Why are you going to spend your money on that heap of shite why don't you go get a Glanza or something " So that was the end of that idea, sold it to my old fella for 500euro as he needed a run around, He had it for a year and a truck took it from this life. He got 2000euro for the fucker.

2006

After what i can only say as a life time of looking for a decent example i found my Glanza, went to Performancemotorworks.com in Naas after it was recommended to me by a friend, Looked at 2 or 3 of the cars he had in stock the one i was originally supposed to look at a black one but was sold literally 2 hours before i arrived, the owner of the Establishment ( Mark ) pointed out a car that arrived that morning and said he didn't look over it properly yet but it seemed to be a great example. He pointed out the coilovers, Boost controller and bucket seat. and i said i'd take it for a spin. so i drove it up the road and literally came back shaking. it scared the shite out of me and my dad who accompanied me. he said there is no way your getting that car you'll kill yourself. To which i replied. Fuck that I'm having it. So went back to the importers, agreed the price and paid the deposit. 3 weeks later after a massive headache with the bank i went to collect it and brought it home. got a mate to look over it and he pointed out 7 or 8 performance parts the importer missed. i was well chuffed with the car. He still called me the jammiest bastard ever for getting a car for 2 grand less than i should of paid.

Any way Pic
