Please help very very strange problem

Just been out in my ep82 1994 and given it some pedal 1st,2nd then let of and then engine light came on and the fuse thats top left in fuse box has gone.so i replaced it started the car and fine then went to pull away and fuse went again.engines in limp mode again bigtime.....Havent touched any wiring for weeks

Whats the issue????
