i have an ep82 and since replacing driveshafts car still rolls when in gear havent started it like this when i select first you can still push car if makes sense could it be that the shafts are not in properly

Sounds like it could be it. Jack up the car and throw an axle stand under it. Get under it and check the CV's at the gear box and at the back of the hub.
