Plug Wires

Guys ,
I am getting a set of 8mm Plug wires for free from a friend . They are some generic brand . The reason i want to have them is that they are in dark redish color and the engine bay looks very nice with them put in . I want to ask if they`ll make a difference in performance ? ( upgrade or downgrade as ?) . M running 1.1 bar td04 with all the supporting mods and using the stock plug wires .

If they are silicon and in good condition then they should be any worse than the stock items. If the car does run worse with them they are faulty.

They are 8.8mm Silicon made by some Taiwanese company . Tried them last nite , didnt do any WOT runs but the car felt fine . However it is taking a tad bit longer to start ?

What could be the reason for that ?
