I'm gonna get flamed for this... but.... It seems like the car was actually stolen, driven then set on fire etc - Was it alarmed? Were the keys stolen from the property? etc. I now never leave my keys on the radiator cover thats in our hallway, they are hung up in the little cloak room we have (for coats, shoes)
Take our starlets, most of us have to have CAT1 alarms to get insured, if you don't have the key/fob/imobilizer thingy only way you can move it is to get it on a tow truck/flat bed and away you go....
I'm not saying that the kid who owned the AE didn't have any of that, could have been set on fire outside his house.
