hello guys!!!

A friend of mine has a '95 GT Turbo and the only mods it has is a front mount, blitz spark leads, and a 2.5 inch straigh through exhaust system....
The car now is boosting at 0.7 and we found a nicely ported exhaust manifold but we dont know the gains of that
What do you recomend, buy this ported manifold or save that money and later buy a brand new aftermarket manifold????????

Thanks in advance!!!:)

it all depends on your budget but id deffo get rid of the standard one,it has a big restriction in runner 3 which can cause problems with cyliner 3!

Buy an aftermarket one, youl only crack the standard one anyways no doubt, and then you will have to buy another one again.. buy cheap, buy twice

If the oem one is ported enough them dont crack as easy... in my opinion. I ported mine out alot and mine made 172bhp at 0.72bar but i dont know what it made with the manifold before it was ported :S Just dont buy a cheep ebay "toyosports" them wont last more that a few months if that

thanks for the answers guys... we knew about the restriction in cylinder 3 on the standard manifold and when we saw the ported ones all the runners were perfectly machined...
the question is that we will get better results with aftermarket manifolds(not cheap ebay stuff) instead of these ported standards???

The tubular manifolds should give better gains mate. But porting and oem one cost pennys. (aftermarket ones look alot better tho)

A well ported stock manifold will likely perform just as good as any other aftermarket CT9 manifold, it'll also have the added benefit of not falling to pieces after some use.

The main restriction of a CT9 manifold is the fact it has a CT9 bolted to it. The ass end of a CT9 isn't capable of flowing enough exhaust gas to produce a power figure that's worth shouting about.

Personally I would buy the ported manifold and spend the money elsewhere on the car. If your intent on buying a new aftermarket manifold, either opt for a TD04 setup or take a look at the external wastegate CT9 manifolds that WEPR or Zisco can supply. IMO a stock replacement manifold is almost a waste of money.
