im asking this for a friend. he is running my old setup which is a ct9 hybrid at 1.1 bar boost has manifold decat cat back front mount and maped on an emanage blue. he ported an polished his head hinself and took as much as possible offintake and exhaust ports and someone said with his turbo he cud be loosing power, is this true that he could have taken too much off for his set up or what

You wouldn't so much "lose" power, but you will change where the powerband is.
Taking off metal leaves a larger volume, and it takes a longer time to fill that volume, if your pokey ct9 can't fill it, air velocity will be slower and therefore increase lag and shift the powerband further up the rev range.
