Problem after problem..

Alright guys,

My rev counter has decided to cut out. Car was started up while it sat on 900 rpm. Cut it out, started it about 10 minutes later and nil. It doesn't move until I rev it to about 4k rpm. Its kinda 'jerks' and goes back down to nil.

All fuel pump and headunit wires are lose so a short circuit may be possible, but would that relate to the rev cluster?

Any ideas?

Cheers

Sounds like a loose earth or loose distributor/ht lead.

And yes it would, recently on my car I ripped an ignition lead, it would idle in neutral fine when under load it would not want to move, leaking all the current to the body. So it is very easy for some loose important connection to do that.

Thanks for the advice guys

Its working perfectly now. I'm guessing its a loose connection somewhere.
