problem need help ??????

right lads need abit of help prob not the best place to post this but have me eye on a vw bora its 1.4 petrol and when you rev the car a rattle comes from the engine any ideas what it could be as im not great with cars yet

could be anything from a heatshield to something in the engine. you will have to get someone who knows what they are looking at to give it a check over

no bother mate thanks for your reply just seen does any1 know anyting on this as car wont be there 2mor and i cant get some1 to look at it till 2mor yeno

What sort of rattle? Like a metal on metal or a ticking sound? Could be bottom/top end. But could also be as simple as a heat sheild..

explain the sound and where u think its coming from excactly?

could be engine mounts, loose brackets etc etc

its hard to explain but best way to put it would be say if you had a back box of a car moving it around with a bolt or nut in it also sounds like its coming from left side of the engine but not 100percent sure tho tbh because its like it the rattle acos round the engine thanks lads for the quick replies

Isn't a timing chain on that car is it? Couldnt see it, but could make a noise like that if loose? And that's left hand side aswel

im not to sure if there is or not mate i be only mostly worried if somthing 2do wit the head or somthing like that yeno
