puffs of blue smoke?

its when i have been driving then...... when the car idles it will smoke but not all the time. if i rev it, it'll go away after a few seconds.

any1 know what it could be.

I was thinking maybe the pcv valve? how do i check if it is it or not?

i figured that 1 out as soon as i seen the blue smoke...:homer:

That's oil then. First port of call and the easiest to check, crack off the downpipe/cat and intercooler pipework and check for oily residue. If there is any, it's most likely turbo oil seals, however, oil in the exhaust isn't always down to turbo failure. If there is only oil in the exhaust and not the intake, it's time to look elsewhere. Get a leakdown test done, that is more accurate at pinpointing the fault. On the shortlist then will be; PCV, piston rings and valve stem seals.

Not a problem. Hopefully it's the turbo. It's the easiest and cheapest to replace and all being well, the most likely cause of the problem. It's also a damn good excuse to upgrade
