Quick question about turbos!

A friend of mine is having trouble with his car burning oil, so I suggested turbo seals. Would there be oil in the intercooler pipes of the seals were gone? Just looking for signs of what could he wrong it's an astra Vxr, 57 plate with something like 80000 on the clock! So quote alot of miles

80,000 isnt much. the turbo would have to be seriously knackered to burn enough oil to really notice. how much is it burning?

For a 57 plate I thought it was fairly high? Using alot.. Like emptying itself in a week or two. No leaks though. Suggested valve stem seals asweel? Or piston rings? Amnt a mechanic so was just suggestions really

correct oil ?/ correct grade ? iv seen hondas burn loads of oil if u dint use the correct stuff
