Hi everyone I have recently bought a starlet gt turbo and it's got the TD04 conversion but is only running 0.5 bar boost. I want to up it safely but not sure what I can take it too and what's needed to do this? E.g can I just buy an adjustable actuator and wind it up or can I use a manual boost controller? Can someone please help....

You need to have a wastegate with a spring that can actually hold the amount of boost you want before it opens. eg a .8bar spring will hold wastegate close until the car actually makes .8bar. In your case it would be the actuator... having said that be careful when raising the boost. You must have a good fuel mgt system before you do that.
