Rear D2 shocks.

I have got kicking around some rear D2 coilovers and was thinking of fitting them up. I have all the required tools to fit them and to adjust them up. They previously came off a starlet ep82, so have already been adjusted. The one problem i have is one is longer than the other, Height wise. Should i make them equal lenghts 1st or is one meant to be longer than the other. If so which side does the longer shock go?

Make them equal mate. This controls the ride height.

start with making them the same, but due to different spring sag rates and the weight of the car not being 100% central you can adjust the lengths afterwards to make the car sit as flat as possible if you want

Where is the best place to measure the height from? Is it the seal to the floor at the rear, or the distance between top of the wheel to the wheel arch. Cheers all.

probably different heights because of the panard rod.
