Hi guys to cut it short had wheels switched front to back corner to corner las year, when fitting new tyres ive now come to replace rear pads only to find that whichever sh*t mechanic put my wheel back on cross threaded the nut all the way on!!!

ive solved the intial problem of removing the nut but damaged the stud in doing so.

sooo does anyone have a part no. / price for one or if i have to four of these?

cheers

How damaged is the stud?

Are you able to try run the nut back up the stud on the correct thread. It may cut a new thread into it, Sometimes at work we`l use a hacksaw blade to just put a thread onto it but this all depends how bad the stud is.

The studs are built into the disc a quick easy but slightly dearer option just get either second hand or new rear discs.

anybody having these probelms can replace individual studs quite easily using a hammer to knock stud back through disc,

then using your local toyta dealer order

part no. 90942-02047

this is for ONE stud only and cost me about £5.64 inc VAT

so make sure you tell them how many you want.
