Just wondered what kind of mileage these engines are good for if they have been looked after?
Whats considered high mileage for a glanza/starlet?
cheers

I had two glanzas thru in the last 1 year. both of them had abit over 100thousand km. The black one was as rough as badgers arse. and the white one i bhave at the moment is grand will be better cous i look after it. What I am saying is that it depends on the previous owner I never look at miles when I buy the car I look and how clean is the engine bodywork suspension and so on.

Local guy ran 12's on an untouched 280,000km bottom end. Still going as far as I'm aware, though now in a different car.

Have seen loads (50+) here with 250,000+ km's, some on original engines. Well serviced (ESSENTIAL) they will go for practically forever. Turbo have a limited lifespan as do various seals and gaskets, however most are quite easy to replace.
