how hard is it??what exactly do you need to disconnect before it can be removed??

i wont be at it on my own for sure but what has to be disconnected??gearbox,loom??

easier to drop the box and engine out in one go.
disconnect all water/vaccum pipes and hoses,wiringexhasut etc,remove drives gear selector cables etc,jack the car car up as high as you can,but axle stands under it,them drop the engine and box out in one go.

Easy to do,quicker to remove than a gearbox.

You can do it without a trolley, I used 3 jacks,2 axle stands and a pallet.

Undo everything except the back engine mount while supporting the rest with 1 jack.
Lower car and jack at same time until engine is on pallet.
Remove rear mount.
Jack car back up and pull pallet out.
On your own 45minutes is very do-able,25 minutes pushing
