can i remove the power steering in my glanza and just plug up the holes in the rack? has it been done? or am i better off the find a ep91 with no power steering and use that rack?
mate its best to keep a bit of fluid in the rack and double loop the pipes together as when you turn on side the fluid comes out and goes in to the other and the same happens again if you block them off will be abit tricky as if you leave no air in there your gonna blow the pipes off
so double loop mate and make sure you leave fluid it so dont get dry
so basiclly loop the rack feeds? pretty similiar to looping water pipes to bypass the matrix heater box yes?....and throw away everything else ya? have you got it done with your car? and here i come with the stupid question, is there any power difference with the less stress
depends what your running but you wont notice like wow 10 bhp but would notice it on a dyno buy a bit its not only a little letter stress for engine it takes some weight off the car...... like aircon system it all adds up
but yeah look them matty but heater matrixs dont weigh much mate so would keep it as on a hot day i dont like my engine gettin hot and its another way of controling engine heat mate......... but again less pipes less things less WEIGHT
haha no i dont mean im by passing the matrix, im just saying that i look the steering rack pipes like you would bypass the matrix, just using the heaters as a comparison. thats all.haha have you got the power steering gone out of your car?
do the bypass & loop as suggested. you'll just have a tricky time in tight parking spots. worse if you have wide tires (like 205s) otherwise on the highway, you won't notice a thing..
small cars there fine as stated 205 tyres yeah can be a pain if its that tight but other then my drive i dont park it lol it comes out in the summer and i drive it places
@Dan-The-Glanza-Man: i've got 205/50/15s and believe me, when the engine is not ticking over, my steering is a pain in the wrong place, so i'll defo keep my p/steering. plus, it doesn't help that i have a tiny sports steering wheel which further reduces my leverage..
rack wont have no pressure as you wont have a pump its just over flowing from side to side in the rack if you loop
mate ive got 205/40/17 lol check my garage out and it aitn that bad matey but i know what you mean but like i side i dont do no tight parking no need its not my every day car lol
