removing turbo..

Just a quick question... I need to take my turbo off to get it sent away.... how easy/ difficult is it to do this , and do I need to take off the manifold with the turbo still attached ? cheers.

Nah its not to difficult just undo the decat if you have one and use a swan neck spanner to undo the bolts from turbo to manifold and job done easy really

also does anyoen know a good place i can send my turbo to, to get it reconditioned and have my wastegate ported??

ah good, was hoping i didnt have to take the whole manifold off as som1 suggested i might..

Dont need to take it off.. and have you got a ct9 you can buy the rebuild kit and do it yourself and port the wastegate

yeah, ive been told by the person i bought the car off, it is a ct9 hybrid turbo,

Nah you dont have to take the manifold off but i found it easier to get the turbo off mani while off the car.

Yeah buy a rebuild kit i think its easy enough to do mate but would send it off myself

ok m8 ill have a look around for one , cheers for your help, im gunna get my m8 to help me as hes a mechanic soould be fairly easy thn .... never as easy as it seems tho!
