Replacing intake cam ?

Hi guys been long since i've been on this forum.

I need your guys help I need to change the seal of the inlet cam that is located underneeth the timing belt cover I dont know is it called. I've seen post how to put the service bolt before removing. But my question is when you place it back how do you know that you have place it right.

You dont have to remove the cam to replace the seal..

But if you want to, there is a M8 threaded hole in the mesh gear, pop a M8 bolt through there and it will keep the mest gear tensioned.
Its then a case of rotating the crank shaft, until the dots line up on the inside of the mesh gears. (2 dots on inlet cam, and 1 big dot on the exhaust cam)

No problem.

Before you start taking everything apart bring the motor to TDC, and as soon as you take the cam cover off, you will see what i mean with the dots.

Top Dead Centre, refering to the position of the piston.

Page 45 of this manual explains how to tension the cams.
