Replacing the water pump

Hello all,

I have just received a new water pump and was wondering about the best way to replace it. What needs doing first, and last and in what order.
Hopefully someone a bit more mechanically minded can help me with this?

Thanks mate, sorry I couldnt find anything on it when I had a look.

After looking at the pump I have I am not sure whether it is this that needs replacing.

The problem I am hacing is that the pipe that runs across the back of the engine from the block into what I first thought was the water pump is leaking at the bottom end. After looking at the water pump the pipe does not fit into it, does anyone know what it is that this pipe fits into?

Ok, I have taken a picture off someone else's site, I hope they dont mind.

I have circled where the water leak is appearing. Basically as soon as I fill up the radiator it flows down and leaks straight out of where the pipe goes into the pump. The engine is not on when this is happening.

Any help greatly appreciated
