rev clock gone mad?

hi guys just tonight i noticed my car ticking over at 2000rpm when its normally at bot 1100rpm????

when im driving in gear it seems ok i think but when i push the clutch in while im moving the rev needle goes down to 1000rpm then goes to 1500rpm and back down to 1000rpm and back up to 1500rpm:confused: and it keeps on doin this as long as im on the clutch????

any idea guys??

the grounding isue? know someone who replaced clutch recently and forgot to put grounding back and messed up the revs?

yeah but is it a false reading or is the car actually reving high? if so then could be your idle control valve bud:freddy:
