rod combination

Hello guys,

just wondering if this might work:

cylinder 1&4 GT rods
cylinder 2&3 Glanza V rods

The diference in those 2 sets of rods is that GT rods are much thicker than the Glanza rods.

would this mean serious bottom end imbalence?

I am guessing it would still work without imbalance since piston 2*3 work at the same rate and will both have rods of same weight.

Any views or experience with this?

Can I ask why would you want to do that?

It would probably be a serious in-balance, and be very difficult to dynamic balance the bottom end.

Then get two more rods of each and build two engines :D
They need to be a matched pair due to the weight that must be the same.

It will work alright, but how long it is before it destroys the bearing shells, or even worse the crank is another question.

I would not go close to rev limit with such an combination.
The engine will probably make piston "slapish" noises.

you will definitely have more chances of snapping the crankshaf due to imbalance..
Btw if you do have spares, im looking for a glanza piston and one conrod. let me know if ur willing to sell em.
