Right the garage took off the dizzy and rotor cap and It was burnt out to the max so will be changing that.it was getting increasingly harder to start so do you reckon this could solve the mystery?

^^ sounds like they have found the problem to be honest. the fuel probably wasnt being burnt causing it to stall, 4efte ecu's run rich when cold and only when fully warm the fueling is ok.

Would make a lot of sense as when it was warm it ran much better and the more I started it the worse it got as the cap & arm deteriorated
