same head ??!!??

hi all ,

i have recently been given a 1995 starlet ep82 import . but the headgasket has gone and he is told that the head has the symtoms of a having a crack init
a garage which i know has a new head off a uk 1.3 non turbo starlet. so my question is ,,,,, are they the same ???

it would be nice to know before i go and dive inot this

Everyone believes they are the same heads apart from the vavle springs, I have a 5efe and Ive used 4efe 5efe and 4efte heads on it with no issues. I always put the turbo vavle springs in it and you will have to do the same or you wont be able to rev over 5000 without your engine exploding. Consider spending 70quid on new vavle stem oill seals for it but have them fitted by a proper engine builder cause mechanics just dont have the gentle hands needed not to bust them when pushing them on.

ok cool , thanks for the info. im hopefully having the car tomorrow so with a bit of luck i can crack on with it and get it sorted

any good places to get the valve springs from ???
