Screamer on td04 what should the sound be like?

Try and run just spring pressure, it will either start working as normal or still do nothing.

What pressure are you trying to run in the AVCR?

On a Zisco td04 kit mine sounded the same as Dub-Se7en's. Mine only had about an inch screamer pipe an it was pretty much the same sound at 0.4 bar to 1 bar.

will this affect the acvr as it is wired intoo the ecu? if it dont work on spring pressure what could it be? an boost is set too 1.6max

No it wont as you can turn the AVCR off, and it will run spring pressure, but to rule out your solenoid, loop the turbo compressor housing to the bottom port of your gate.

will this affect the acvr as it is wired intoo the ecu? if it dont work on spring pressure what could it be? an boost is set too 1.6max

No it wont as you can turn the AVCR off, and it will run spring pressure, but to rule out your solenoid, loop the turbo compressor housing to the bottom port of your gate.

will be doing this tomorrow, got too get a long enuf bit of hosing for this. so if the car screams when doing this its the boost solenoid? an if it dont scream its the wastegate?

also would this caus the car too overboost if w/g is not working correctly?

my avcr has 3 setting, off, a or b. 1 being 1br, 1.3 an 1.6, but ive gone through all of them today, an im hitting 1.5br on all 3 settings.

would this be wg?

yea wastegate is right way round matey. the bottom of it where is on the end of the pipe of mani, an screamer is bolted ontoo the side exit of wastegate. i spoke too my mapper earlier, an hes also said the same as i tried the 3 diffrent setting an they still boost too 1.5, 1.6 when they shouldnt.

ill be attemting to tomoz too check the spring pressure. hopefully its not the solenoid :(

I ask because i have seen people put the Tial gates on the wrong way before...?

What kind of gate is it? Wana throw a pic up?

right dude, its a z sports one. done the spring pressure just now, an now i have screaming. so e/w/g is working yes?

so got too be boost controller not doing it job or plumbed in wrong.im trying too understand the manual now but very confusing.

so any help will be great with this.

booklet says for wastegates use the com side of solenoid too the top of e/w/g, an the NC port of the wastegate too be 3 way into bottom of e/w/g turbo nipple an the nc port of solenoid

any one confirm this?

right, checked all.... an yes its plumbed in wrong. badly wrong.

com port was t peice into theturbo nipple, an the top w/g, an the nc was too the bottom of w/g. so majorly wrong.

now ive removed it all an re done it, its boosting too wat it shud, not over boosting an screamer is now working as shud.

but im wondering will this have affected the mapping etc an outcome of what was done? as the boost was not under control atall obviously?

Good to hear it was a simple mistake tht you eventully figured out.

Was it mapped with the boost controller plumbed in wrong?

yea it was plumbed in wrong when mapped, an the avcr was also set up at same time.

so both would be wrong? need re doing? wasn me that fitted it, was the mapper. but hes going too rectify it friday so he said today. would this effect the outcome etc as i couldn get past 1.3br on the rr.

what would need too be re done etc rory?

The car should be mapped up to 1.3bar but i would wait until Friday before giving it some shoe. I would think the duty and boost pressures will need a little look at when its back on the dyno. Shouldnt take long as the map is already half done.

Mines about a foot and a half long, im runinng td04 set up also and mines loud. its the first time ive had a screamer pipe will it pass the MOT ok? just unsure

yea, people make mistakes i guess, just glad i found out what it was before something serious happened, yea not plannin on booting it abou till then, hes told me too go down, i assume free of charge as its been a cock up. i just want too make sure its all ok etc as dont want no issues with it.

i will mention that too him about the duty an boost pressure as want it all spot on.
