seriouse problem!!! help!!

went under my car today to do some work with the exhust.

to find i have a minute hole in my fuel tank.

but its big enough that its dripping fuel on the floor!!!

what can i do, as i filled up my tank this morning!!! and now its on the floor!

is there anyway i can temp patch it up till i get a new one!!?!?!!

i think you can buy fuel tank patches. check at a motor factors.

that would do temporarily. why does it have a hole? has it rusted through or has something punctured it?

if its rust i would just replace it. if its been punctured you could get it welded, or replace.

How big is the hole? If it's consistently dripping then I can really think of anything beyond possibly something rubber that will block the hole without immediately coming off again.

Pencil eraser + duct tape?

get some plumbers mate from b and q thats wat i did when mine rusted works a treat lasted a good couple of weeks before i got a new one too.

if a ep82 one will fit then how much? An its a tiny hole like you can hardly see it. But its pissing out petrol. I got some quicksteel stuff which is drying now but dno if its gonna work!

go to b&Q and see if they have "CT7" its a sealant/adhesive that holds on wet surfaces and is extremely strong. bout £8 a mastic tude tho. needless to say you get these in builders merchant but they wont be opened so b&Q might do it

i didnt think it was a plaster ether i thought it was a nail file lol.

but ok yeh i may pop down there if this quiksteel stuff doesnt work. thanks
