Yeah was that a organised event... because its usually more expensive when your trying to hire the track just for your club eg TGTT

correct and coombe is one of the cheaper - so its like £7,500 for the track hire for the day.

Say you get 30 people wanting to go - thats £275 each - thats without insurance - which is optional but thats £80.

Youll get 30 people willing to go to coombe for a track day - however you wont get the same 30 wanting to pay £275.

I do most my trips for around £300 (varies depending on ferry price and fuel)I leave on a thursday night (cheap midnight ferry) and have two nights there. I am going again in the summer, need a ring sticker on the quad light.

That sounds quite good, im going to the ring in september and i have put away £700 for this staying for about 4 or 5 nights and theres also frankfurt motorshow im going to while over there :)

That insurance that you are talking about is not an optional extra, it's the Public Liability Insurance, usually £10,000,000 pounds worth. This does not protect you if you crash your car, it protects the organisers from being sued in the event that someone gets hurt or, god forbid, dies.

These things are not an easy thing to do, Llandow was good as it is a family run track but these others are not. The thought of getting 40-60 people out of 5000 will be easy is not true, this site does not have 5000 ACTIVE members and not all of the active ones want to hand money over.
