Right, it's been getting on my nerves for a while now, wonder if the TGTT boffins can help.

1996 Glanza V, got an irritating squeak at idle, but goes as soon as the clutch is put in. You only need to just touch the pedal, not even fully put it in, also stops when revved gently.

Don't think the clutch is slipping cause it still pulls, no problems :S

It generally stops when she's properly warmed up.

Any ideas?

Grease the pedal maybe?

Or maybe the clutch cylinder?

it sounds like there is a belt thats making the squeak.check the condition of these 1st to see if that will solve the problem.

Yeah, I had a quick look and it didn't look like a belt, but it was just a quick look.

maybe the clutch bearing is worn and does that sound? cant rly tell just like that.

Got a guru coming round to have a look at it next week so any suggestions could well save a lot of time.

Hmm I would've said a belt. My friends 200 makes a fucking racket when it starts up, squealing belt!

It could be the thrust bearing, mine was making the same sound and that was the problem!

x2 i would check thrust bearing.. also gearbox oil level.
