standard boost gage

just wondering where the standard boost gage gets it boost reading from i.ve removed all vac hose's from it as i.ve fitted a hks actuator an just ran it from turbo to actuator.
but it's still reading boost, so is it plumbed in to the back of the inlet mani or somet

sorry prob's another stupid question but thought i'd ask the people that know :homer:

cool you learn somet new everyday on this site.. what will happen when i plug my jam ecu in just the same ?

i know your prob'sall thinking why the hell have you not put the ecu in yet.. i'm just leaving it till the last thing i do just to see what diffrence it makes
