standard Cat value?

Does anybody know roughly what you should get from a scrap yard for a standard EP82 Cat?it's in good condition and the car passed emmisions with it before i removed it and went TD04 lol.Just wondering what its worth really?Cheers

they have a small amount of lead or something like that inside them hence the shit price !

I was "lead" to believe (haha, sorry) from something factual that I read that there is a precious metal in CATs that is also used in many many many many if not all smart phones these days. From what I recall i think its to do with the touchscreen, and this metal is what "feels" your touch. Thats prolly why dirty pikey gyppo wasters thief it. Mind they would thief owt if they could make a penny from it.

Anyway ill see if I can find this out....

Could be Palladium.

Not at all used for the touchscreen, but for contact points in the electrical system, its non rusty.

Also Platinum, Rhodium and Cerium......

£10 to £15 as there is not much material in them. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick but.

I heard they have some platinum, but not much -) You also find platinum and gold on any CD/DVD/Blue-Ray discs. It doesn't mean that they cost a fortune -))))

I'd say somewhere between £10-£20 depending on the condition.
