Extra Info: not needed anymore! excellent for people with no central locking and sick of using there key to open the door!

Quick question, so if u get one of these do u need anything else to get it to work? Or Is it just press and play?

to re program/program the fob

Unlock car.
Sit in drivers seat, shut door.
Put key in the ignition, turn key to on then off 3 times.
Remove key and press the button on the new keyfob.
Central locking should operate.
Put the key back in the ignition and turn on/off again 3 times.
Once again remove and press the new keyfob button
Central Locking should operate again.

John i have a Genuine Toyota (Central locking Fob) on my key from new but it wont work just have to re program it???? but the central locking works by the alarm so i am happy out BUT the thing that gets me is i can not lock the car with the alarm till the turbo timer cuts of the engine, if i re program my key will it mess up the settings of the alarm?

If your not planning on using that fob and it will reprogram to mine would you sell???

its like that stephen, i cant lock mine untill the timer goes off either but if your aftermarket alarm fob is doing the job then theres no need really for the toyota one ....

After seeing this thread I ordered one from Toyota and picked it up this morning.

Small for £40, but hey presto it works!

they last for ever man.. mine is very old by the looks of it, orignal id say..

ya its a small range and has to be pointed towards the receiver above rear view mirror.. id say about 20feet max
