"Stolen" Plate

Car is currently sitting in my driveway (Edinburgh) and I just got a text off a friend asking if I'm in Stirling... No I reply wondering why he asked... He then says is your plate not M***ASL... Well yes it is so it appears someone in Stirling has duplicated my plate:flame:

Who do I contact first? Police? DVLA? Not sure what the hell to do...

Phoning the cop shop at the moment, could take a while to get through lol...
Edit: All they've done is add it on their system in the details... and that if they find it they'll get it stopped... Can you give me anymore details on it if you find out please Glen?

Most imports have same-ish number plates just one digits differant!

I know the number plates similar to mine, my one ends in 6, there are GT's with 7 & 8 too. Starletgtshady owns 8 up in Inverness and it's white. Guy said it was definately my plate.

Contact police , and tell them u think ur plate has been copied.

get on to them man if it is a stolen plate god knows what scams the guys pulling give them ur details they might get in touch with the local cop shop and try to stop it

Could be a possibilty. There was a GT around me, silver one with near enough the same reg plate as mine and I had people saying was it me or not, even though mines black.

Best to inform the fuzz in any case just in case.
