Well, had a mess around with my damping yesterday and went for a drive. I had it on a very hard setting and I am running them softer now. They handle bumps and dips a lot better now and I can actually feel the shocks working!

But anyway...one of my rear shocks does not seem to rotate fully when I am adjusting the damping.

My passenger side rear take about 6-7 full rotations and the drivers side rear only takes about 3 (from memory).

Anyone else has this problem? Could it just be a bit stuck?

I'm worried that I am running around with different damper settings on the rears now.

Thanks!

Do you know where it was set in relation to sotf/hard settings? I keep my settings written down so I know where they are set and how much they will turn in either direction

No, I was simply turning to the softest setting and working backwards from there. But the drivers rear does not rotate as much as the passenger side, lock to lock.

i thought you were meant to go from hard setting to soft? if i ever adjust mine i just wind them all the way to hard and work from there again. have you accidentaly wound them too far past the softest setting?

No mate, I dont think so. I wound all the others until it stopped then worked back from that.

Dont think it makes a difference which way you work from to be honest if you think about it.

i just remember reading some instructions about it somewhere. it says about working from the hard setting and not going past 36 marks

6 turns sounds right and it wont let you move any further than the 36 steps unless you really tried, which would then probably break it.

I see it says to work from the most firm setting. Doesnt matter where I move it, one of the shocks does not have the full 6 rotations.

Aside from the vauge instructions on the site.. i found this lol .. Wonder what the "Unusual noise" means..

* Please do not use the adjustment wrench to lock the lower bracket, the adjustment wrench is for adjust ride height. If the lower bracket is tighten by the adjustment wrench, the unusual noise will happen again after 7~20 days.
* Please use the screwdriver and hammer to knock the lower bracket at the following picture, and stick with the tape to avoid the unusual noise.

That’s to be 100% sure the bottom mount does not move. As with any bottom mount adjustable coilovers they need to be damn tight as I'm sure you can imagine the force placed on them when turning. Coilovers are far more complicated than struts and springs and need care and maintenance to keep them in top working order. Regularly clean and lube the threads and adjust the damping back and forth to keep them free. With some care and thought they will serve you well. 4 wheel alignment with someone that knows how to use the equipment is a must.

:(

When you say 36, you counted the little symbols everytime you made a rotation and it came to 36?

when you are adjusting fromthe hard to soft setting the number of clicks all the way from hard to soft is 36...and beyond that it just doesnt click anymore....i have tried this a few times and it spot on 36 both front and rear as well.
but you are better off counting.
the one thing that i cant understand is how do you adjust the "compression rate" of the springs?
is there a measurement where you can adjust and correlate by how much are the springs compressed to give a certain dampening rate???
