really pissing me off now,

car had been fine scince fitting the emanage and done over 1k in miles then suddenly after sitting at idle for 10mins or so turned car off, now it hasnt started properly agian scince, ive remove the emanage and it struggles to start but most times keeps turning over, its getting fuel casue it sticks lol and its sparking on all 4 cylnders fine.

all fuses seem to be ok and efi relay is fine

anyone got any ideas?!? all i cna think off is maybe a wire has burnt out but everything else is working fine.

car has been linked to another car so its not the battery and i have had the car start once with the emanage in but not the injector wires connected but still get the same problem with just the stock ecu.

reallu stumped and annoyed :(

is it definetly getting fuel & a good fuel pressure i had mine cut out on me before & it wouldnt start, you could smell fuel & there was fuel in the pipes but it wasnt untill i looked at my fuel pressure on my sard fpr gauge that i could see it was really low, turned out the fuel pump was dying, you could tell when i took it out & put it in a cup of fuel that it wasnt pumping much, it was only a year old walbro pump, have you tried a diagnostic test first see if any faults come up, either that or its one of the wires you've disturbed when you wired in the emanage, are you using a field extension harness

yup im using a field harness so clips in an out no problem.

im getting my usual 3bar pressure and its holding it as far as i ca see but it dosnt drop a little after the car is turned off - normal i presume as it still has like 2 bar of pressure at least.

ive had the pump about 3 years (brand new supra pump at the time) and i can hear it priming on ignition on.
the diagnostics didnt turn anything up either :S i did that jsut forgot to mention in the post. ive ben suggested that i might have contaminated fuel but its still on the same fuel that ive driven 50odd miles in as i had a full tank

do you mean spray it into the turbo or take the inlet pipe off and spray dsome in there.

the plugs are gettin wet at the moment

yeah spray a bit into the throttle body, might get it to work just spraying some in then cranking, otherwise spray it and get someone to crank it!

Another thing, have you got a spare coil? had an mr2 at work which had a spark and fuel... swapped the coil pack and off it went!! :S

Good luck mate, it is probly something stupid like the coil, you would think it would go but the spark isnt quite strong enough.

Guess all your earths are intact? ones on the inlet manifold?

yup and i hope its somthing simple, earth seem to be fine. as i said it was working fine then after shutting the car off after a 10-15min idle (looking over my datalogging) it jsut didnt fire back up :(

the spark does seem to be quite strong too

Is it an Ultimate? Have u launch control activated? Is the throttle position percentage thingy reading between 50% and 58% or so?

I don't know all the details but if its not set right it essentially stops the car from starting.

yea its an ultimate, i dont have the tps wire connected mate. but its been working fine and i dont think i accidently chaned anything...

Bit of a mad one, i recently fitted a mines ecu to my starlet an the bastard cut out at a outside my sisters house which is near a main road, with the cars backing up behind me the fucker wouldn start,

got it ou the way anyway an was pokin about under the bonnet, couldn see anything amiss so got back in the car wonderin wot it could be absent-mindedly put my hand down to the ecu an found one of the plugs had come loose! started it up an flew home!

Dont forget to check yer plugs man, All of them.

Hmm by any chance was it raining when this happened?

I washed my car the other day and it started to reverse out of wash bay, drove round the yard and it started to misfire and flood itself and then just stopped.

Check for water down the plug holes causing it to earth to the head, also check the main lead into the distributer housing for corrosion or breakage as mine also broke the other day and fell out.

I thought the water in the plugs was just because I washed it and it went up inside of the bottom vent, but on way down the road last night, it was raining heavy and it started to misfire again, luckily the engine was warm enough.
