Suitable wastegate size

Hi guys,

Just to enquire, would a 35mm or 38mm wastegate would be suitable?

Its gonna be 0.9bar stock ct9 :).

Also, another questions is : say, a wastegate is rated 1.0 bar. So, does the wastegate opens gradually from .7 till 1bar, or just slaps itself open instantly at 1bar?

If we get a 1bar spring, is there any way to set it open at 0.8bar?

38mm is most suitable ;) also if you get a 1 bar spring you cannot set it lower than 1 bar. also the waste gate will gradually build to 1 bar :)

Avoid cheap ebay wastegates. A 35mm would be big enough, but i'm not aware of a known brand that make 1. Ideally you want a Tial MVS wastegate.

You can't turn the boost lower than the spring. I.e. 1 bar spring is 1 bar min.

They gradually open, but an EBC can hold them shut for longer.

so i assume its gonna gradually open, its gonna sound sucky? Haha.

So if its rated for 1bar, thats its peak opening point?

Hhmm... so 38 or 35? two different answers here lol. If i get a 38, will my boost drop a little bit when it reaches peak boost, and builds up again?
