After my September 20th trip to Maple grove, I hadn't been
anywhere near a drag strip... so today I decided to return and
see if I still remembered what to do... Yup! It was like driving a
bicycle... it all came back to me in a hurry!
Cold weather, a well prepped track... I dunno but, today's
results were some of the quickest since my #4 piston was
replaced and my fueling set right... maybe I should start
carrying my helmet in my trunk... just in case I go under
14 seconds... ya never know... I got pretty close on R#134...
Once I arrived at the track and got teched in, I couldn't wait to
make a run so, the very first pass was with my front tires fully
inflated to 32 psi, my front end at its normal daily driver raised
level and some junk in the trunk... after that first pass, it was
into the pits to drop the front end, inflate the rear tires to
45 psi, lower the front tire pressure to 15 psi, clean the trunk
out and back around for this year's 133rd pass which was
much better... Just like riding a bicycle!
Although TERCEL1 and I had our usual good time at the
track, someone else had an even BETTER time... To find out
