Anybody follow this?

Made by Tom Hanks, its along the lines of Band of Brothers, which follows Easy Company in Europe.

It follows the Marine Corps in the battle of the pacific against the japanese

i.e Iwo Jima, Guadal Canal, Peleliu etc


Absolutely fantastic, and if you have just seen episode 8 OMG!:eek::eek:

Been watching episodes sporadically over the last week or so, think I'm up to episode 7.

I'm on the episode where Eugene is contemplating taking out one of the Jap's gold teeth and Merriell is tossing stones into what's left of that guys head. Is that 7 or 8?

It just keeps on getting better! I dont want it to end at 10! im gunna try not to say too much about it in case i spoil it for the other lads! Well Worth the watch!

i watch it too man and i must say its some of the best tv ive ever seen, really puts into perspective what sort of hell these guys went through!

the war scenes are fantastic aswell, you can tell its the most expensive tv series ever produced.

and yes i cant believe its going to end too, especially with how episode 8 ended :(

Think its purely how it affects both sides of the soldiers, the war parts and the parts at home and how it affects others.

Do want more action though! Think it is amazing, love the fact that they do the veterans stories aswell

I'm currently watching back through band of brothers on blue-ray - £25 = Win... I wanted to watch this but only just got sky installed at my new place and havn't got an internet connection capable of such speeds to download them - Unless sky has some ondemand thing?

i must be lucky, id never thought of it, for some reason i thought it had summit to do with the mitchel brothers, so i never bothered with it.

im onboard my ship just now, watch an episode a night, on 5 now, and i just wanna sit and watch the whole lot in one go, but i know ive got work in the morning haha

Ive seen the 1st 2 episodes and thought it was a bit slow to start to be honest compared to band of brothers which I thought was one of the best shows i've ever watched. The fight scenes and the story is very good. Although thats only 2 episodes Ive seen. Im just gonna wait until its released on DVD and sit down and watch it all in the one day. I'm sure ill be impressed with viewing more episodes.

the pacific is bloody AMAZING!!!
indeed just shows what they went threw!!!
i really dont want it to end thow :(

so i bought band of brothers on blu-ray for 17 pounds!! from play :) got to say its not as good as the pacific but its still great.

yes bro..its very slow to start. if i had to pick between the two..i'll pick band of brothers..
