The post office

What can people tell me about problems with the post office. I've ordered stuff (from ebay/traders on here) most of it 2 months ago or longer. I'm over seas (on a british military base) so tracking numbers don't work. Any one got any ideas of how to find out where my stuff is or how to claim back the value of the missing goods? I'm pretty impatient at the best of times so 2 months later I'm pulling my hair out!

you need to speak to the people you got the stuff off, then get tracking numbers, then ring royal mail. also what is the greek postal service like?? it might be them who have fucked up.

It shouldn't even get seen by the Greek postal system mate as its all handled by BFPO (british forces post office). My understanding is it all gets sent to a London military sorting office, then sent by air to Larnaca airport where military posties collect it and distribute it around the island. Spoke to the posties here and wish I hadn't. about as much use as tits on fish.

oh erm i would say your kinda fucked then mate, as the only thing i can think of is that its the bfpo that have lost it.

2 months ago would be roughly the time of the royal mail strike so maybe your items are still held in a back log or have been misplaced.

I would speak to the sellers and see if they got a tracking number or receipt and go from there, i know you can request a claims form from the royal mail website and can't you claim thru the forces post?

Don't worry Dave found the tracking number. Can you let me know when it was sent though please mate. I want as much info for the posties as I can.
