Hay all

Im going to get rid of my Dastek UniChip and go for the E-Manage Blue.

Im thinking of going to go to Thor Racing as they are close to me and have herd good thing about them.

Just wonderd if any of you guys have been there for any work?

I read an interview in Banzai (I think) a few months back and they seemed to rate them highly.

Tom there is a lot of conflicting info about this place I really rated them but Starlet_ Sam had really bad dealing with them…

Might be worth you going to se them first if you get a feel for the pleace???

They mapped my GT before it was forged, the map was leaner than I would have liked but that could have been due to cracking 2 pistons before they finished mapping it.

Another thing I didnt really like is you cant see your car while its being mapped its just locked in a dyno room with the tuner only.

TRL is the place to go but I have heard good things about Weston Performance aswell.

Wouldn't piss on the place if it was on fire mate.

On what grounds? If you are going to make comments like that, at least follow them up with the reasoning behind it. Also, slanderous comments towards companies could land you up to your eyeballs in legal shit, so be wary of what you write.

It aint slander it's an opinion, I was not happy with the service I got from them, and my AFR looks like a mountain range.

It's only slander if it's not true.

I have been trying to find the write up Chi and I did on them.

When we went they were very good. Yes they took the car and told us to come back in a few hours which I think is fair enough as a lot of tuners so the same so if you go take a mate with a car so you can go to town!!

They really did bent over back wards to help Chi out and a few weeks later I saw them at pod and they came over to look at my car which I thought was nice…

I think there are so many mix reports on tuners that I would recommend meeting with them and see how you feel. If you use someone and they do a bad job I guess it’s a lesson learn.

I for one have look in to using a lot of tunes now and have made my decision based on what I could find out and what feeling I got from him…

Good advice Elaine and always remember bad news travels fast, good news rarely travels at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Why are you changing the Unichip, IMO its better than the Blue Emanage ;)

Cheers for the comments. I will do some more research befor I jump into the shit again.

Hay Dave

The reason Im changing is because there is only about one garage that tune them around my way and I still have to travel a120mile all round trip.

The first tune I had off them was spot on, the next I dont no about and this third one was wank! They just seem to be doing work for me then something else comes up and then its back up to them and Im sure they are doing stuff to take the piss and get money out of me! Last time I went the guy even said to me "make sure you keep coming back" and then laffed and walked off and what do you no Im left with a few more problems so i just fancy a change.

I got in touch with Ed at Engine Advantages and he wanted £250 to map my UniChip and that would mean doing an even bigger trip in the car.

cheers

Yeah its pretty crap living near no one that can tune the dastek.
Maybe its time for a change though which is why I invested in the Emanage.

Thor are okay and quite reasonable priced i think,..and they are one of the only link dealers in the uk, which is important for me :p

There dyno is known for over reading alot though lol

the brand "link"...being taken from the hub still isnt accurate though, as its not fly wheel hp, nor wheel hp...all the resistance can still be adjusted on them, and its most probs not very...ive heard of over readings around 20 ish hp compared to other rr....so if you want a massive figure go there lol

Also once the have rr'd it, they then normally have to convert it into, either wheel or fly power, which i suspect most of the power gets added.
