Thrust bearing- TRD???

Release bearing- TRD???

OK guys I have a TRD paddle clutch in the GT, few questions.

1) Are the thrust bearings noisy in these clutches? I noticed mine is quite noisy but cant remember if it has always been like it

2) is there a part number available for a TRD item or are they just OEM thrust bearings?

If the thrust bearing is suposed to be noisy then ignore the 2nd question as I wont be needing a replacement

Your talking about a clutch right? Then I assume you mean 'release' bearing and not 'thrust' bearing. I'm not sure but I would imagine its just an oem item. And the noise your talking about isn't caused by the bearing anyway, its the clutch itself that makes that noise, every paddle clutch that I have had experience with makes that noise

Yes release bearing I meant, not sure where I got thrust from :haha:

Oh I see, well im sure it has got noisier, and its only when the clutch pedal is released that the noise happens, thats why I thought it may be my release bearing on its way out.

this happened to me buddy and it was a worn bearing in gearbox on input shaft

If its making the noise when the pedal is released then its more than likely the release bearing thats goosed alright

Thought so, I should of really explained when it makes the noise, sorry

So yea onto the 2nd question, you think its just an OEM release bearing? No "uprated" ones available?
