How cheap can everyone get tints for...? Back 3 for £80... and if they fuck up and you can take it straight back to him..

A mate of mine does them for free ;) he fiddles the books and puts it through as a windscreen replacement as this is covered for free by most insurers :)

i would like to know as well how much it would cost just do do the back window. but i never have the time to pop by a tint shop.

I was wondering though... Can you still use the back window decondenser? (if that's what the name is) Won't it melt the film?

No it wont melt the film its fine to use!

if i remember right, it has to let 78% through, being as untinted glass lets maybe 80-85% through it's not a lot! been through this myself with vosa as i had to remove mine, admittedly mine were completely illegal. shame as i really liked the front tints...

Yeh yours are quite noticeable. Mine are slightly over percentage wise but they aren't that noticeable, i just didnt want my back 3windows tinted and nothin on the front two.



but in different light they appear darker etc

yeah, know what you mean, mine is sporting the 'van' effect now sadly as the rears are dark with nothing on the front.

basically, it's down to the coppers descretion, if you haven't took the piss on the front tints chances are they won't even notice :)

Yeh thats what i thought, some ppl's side windows u cant even see if anyone is driving the car lol

I got told by a tint man import cars are already illegal for tints cause the window is pretinted when it was made

As above any tint whatsoever on two fronts or the windscreen is automatic MOT fail. cops love to catch you with it done in northern ireland a lot of them demand you take them off there and then before you go and still slap you with 3 points and the 60quid fine
