tire pressures for 15" wheels?

i know the stock pressures should be 1.8bar all round but i know as a general rule if you put larger wheels on with lower profile tires you usually up the pressures (i think).

what pressures do people use on their cars? i also have next to no weight in the back as its all stripped out

thanks

on 195 50s i used to run 28 psi gave me better traction in a straight line but i found 30 slightly better for cornering

If anything you want to make the front harder due to the extra weight up front when compared to the rear. Each surface will be different so pressures will vary, on the run around on UK roads I personally run 32psi front and 30psi rear on a 185/55/14.

i was told by the local tyre firm to run 30 psi all round on my 15"s and it seems perfectly fine to me.

30 psi all round will be fine Ricky, at Honda we always used the same front and rear but I personally likle to compensate a little for the front weight. On the demo car it's a different story as there are so many setups..

yes i agree, to be honest its all down to setup and personal preference, i just said 30psi as a general rule, see how you get on with this, then adjust accordingly, try doing it in 2psi increments and see wot feels best for you.

Spot on... Different climates/temperatures will also obviously effect pressures so it will differ from place to place but 30 all round will be fine for most or a suitable starting point..

well ive now got 30psi front and 28psi in the rear. feels ok to me, will see how it goes!

cheers

depends on what i want to achieve......i susally run 30psi all round......195/50/15 tires

but i also run 30psi front and 28 psi rear on occasion........helps keep the rear more stable when i up the tempo a little

i always up the tempo on corners ;) no point having all those handling mods and not taking advantage of them!
