transmisssion swap 4efte 5efe

i have 2 paseos. one 5efe 5speed and one 4efte 5 speed. well the one w/ the 4efte is having some problems. sometimes when i shift into 2nd it makes a crunch sound. and when im in 5th and i hit/release the gas the shifter moves (think it might be a mount but im not sure). hopefully there is a quick fix for these but if not im wondering if i could just swap out the trannys. are they the same? can they handle the same power?

check the back mount and not knowing the about the power side but id think they are the same boxs ????

they are not the same box....
they will bolt up... but the paseo box is weaker than a turbo gt box

As above, it's not as strong from what I've heard. I think it's the same box as the non turbo Starlet?
